Engineering Academy
The Engineering Academy has three programs of Study: Automotive Technology, Project Lead the Way, and HVAC/R.
Automotive Technology
Students pursuing the Automotive Technology program of study are required to take the following courses:
- Transportation Core
- Automotive: Brake Systems - This is a yearlong two credit course
- Automotive: Suspension and Steering - This course is taught every other year and alternates with Automotive: Electronics. This is a yearlong two credit course.
- Automotive: Electronics - This course is taught every other year and alternates with Automotive: Suspension and Steering. This is a yearlong two credit course.
- Engineering Design and Development taken in 12th grade.
Engineering/Project Lead the Way
Students pursuing the Engineering/Project Lead the Way program of study are required to take the following courses:
- Introduction to Engineering Design
- Principles of Engineering
- One of the following three:
- Engineering Design and Development taken in 12th grade.
HVAC/R
Students pursuing the HVAC/R program of study are required to take the following courses:
- Construction Core
- HVAC/R I
- HVAC/R II
- Engineering Design and Development taken in 12th grade.
